Juan Guillermo Andrade Silva | Ecuadorian Painter, Sculptor and Artisan

Juan Guillermo Andrade Silva, also known as Coyote, is an Ecuadorian artist born in Baños de Agua Santa and closely connected to El Chaco, Napo. His paintings bring together expressive portraits, popular local characters, Andean landscapes and Amazonian scenes, using color, memory and emotion to reflect the identity of his people. Public sources mention that some of his paintings are housed in a religious museum in Baños, while CoyoArte posts also connect his work with the Museum of the Church of Baños. Beyond painting, Andrade Silva is a multidisciplinary creator who also makes handcrafted pieces, bamboo and wood sculptures, decorative artworks and constructions inspired by regional materials. At La Guarida del Coyote, his cultural space and gallery, painting, music, craftsmanship and sculpture come together, creating a living artistic experience rooted in the Amazon, the Andes and the cultural heritage of Ecuador.
