Privacy Policy

Tugono is your personal travel guide for destinations, transport, routes, events, activities, local services and community experiences. This policy explains what data we use and how we protect it.

1

Scope

This policy applies to the Tugono website, admin panel, mobile apps and related services.

Tugono may operate with tourism content from different countries. Cities, businesses, events, routes, transport, reviews and services depend on information published by administrators, partners, operators, travelers and authorized accounts.

2

Data we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the platform, improve the experience and keep the service secure.

  • Usage and browsing data, such as visited pages, device, language, date, IP address and performance.
  • Account data when you register or manage content, such as name, email, profile photo, phone, role, operator or linked businesses.
  • Email code access data, including attempts, expiration and security signals used to prevent abuse.
  • Approximate or precise location when you grant permission to calculate distance, estimated time, routes, nearby transport, upcoming events or departure points.
  • Published or edited tourism content, such as text, images, links, categories, prices, schedules, stops, maps, contact details and reference availability.
  • Community content, such as ratings, reviews, favorites, saved trips, shared routes and actions to add places to your trip.
  • Language preferences, cookie consent, notification settings, downloaded offline data and experience settings.
3

Traveler account and email code access

You can explore Tugono without an account. Some features, such as saving trips, publishing reviews, changing your profile photo or syncing information across devices, require a traveler account.

Access uses a temporary code sent by email. We use this flow to confirm that you control the email address, create or recover your account and reduce the risk of unauthorized access. If the email does not belong to an existing account, we may ask for your name after the code is verified.

4

Location, routes and nearby events

Location is requested with device permission. We do not try to resolve your location from the server.

We use valid coordinates to show distance, estimated time, routes, nearby points, useful transport toward a city or stop, and non-invasive notices about upcoming events. If you deny permission, you can keep browsing and search destinations manually.

5

My trip, saved routes and shared links

You can create a local route on your phone and, if you sign in, save it to your account as a trip. Routes may include cities, attractions, activities, services, events or transport references.

When you share a route, we generate a private URL with the route name, stops, reference image and preview metadata. That link does not show your email or full profile data and is marked as non-indexable by default. If we later enable public community routes, publishing them will require an explicit action.

6

Reviews, ratings and community

Ratings and reviews help other travelers decide. To publish or edit a review you must sign in. Other users may see published opinions, star averages, date, visible name and profile photo if you configured one.

We apply controls against spam, abusive links, repetition, excessive uppercase text, suspicious frequency and risky content. A clean review may be published immediately; a suspicious review may remain pending, be hidden or rejected. Authorized administrators may moderate reviews to protect the community.

7

Transport, operators and recommendations

Tugono shows transport routes, operators, departures, stops, reference prices, availability and departure points to help you plan how to get there. This information is referential and should be confirmed directly with the operator.

Recommendations may combine automatic rules, city, category, distance, active content and editorial or commercial curation. We use them to show useful complements, such as lodging, food, activities or transport related to the place you are viewing.

8

Offline data and downloads

When you download a city or content for offline use, the app may store on your device city data, maps, places, routes, recommendations, transport references and media needed for the experience to work without connection.

Offline data stays on the device until you delete it from the app, clear storage or uninstall Tugono. Some features, such as recent reviews, trip sync, operator changes or transport availability, may require connection to stay updated.

9

How we use information

We use data to provide a clear, secure and personalized tourism guide.

  • Show relevant destinations, cities, attractions, activities, services, events, routes, transport and recommendations.
  • Calculate routes, distance, duration, stops and departure points when valid coordinates are available.
  • Manage traveler accounts, access codes, profile, avatar, saved trips, future favorites, reviews and preferences.
  • Send notifications or emails related to access codes, security, subscriptions, payments, events, transport or operational notices, when applicable.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, technical errors, unauthorized access and improve performance.
  • Maintain aggregated metrics to understand which content, routes, transport or experiences work best.
10

Cookies and similar technologies

We use necessary cookies for the site to work and preference cookies to remember language, consent and navigation settings.

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies from the consent banner. Some functions may be limited if you block necessary cookies from your browser.

11

Public content, businesses and media

Tourism information published on Tugono may be publicly visible. This includes business names, descriptions, images, videos, locations, social networks, phone numbers, emails, prices, categories and events.

Transport operator information, routes, departures, stops, prices, phone numbers, websites and images may also be publicly visible when published as part of the service.

Administrators, operators, partners and authorized users must upload their own content or content they have the right to publish.

12

Who we share data with

We may work with infrastructure, maps, email, storage, analytics, security and support providers. These providers process data only to deliver the service.

We may also share information when necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect rights, investigate abuse or respond to valid authority requests.

13

International transfers

As a multi-country platform, your data may be processed on servers or services located outside your country. We apply reasonable measures to protect information under this policy and applicable law.

14

Retention and security

We keep data for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain audit records or protect the platform.

Temporary codes expire and are kept only as needed for security and audit. Saved routes, reviews, profile and published content are kept while you maintain the account or while they are needed to operate the platform.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational controls, including access validations, administrative roles, moderation and abuse limits. No Internet-connected system is completely risk-free, but we work to reduce risks and respond to incidents.

15

Your rights

You may request access, correction, update or deletion of your data when applicable. Some requests may require identity verification or be subject to legal obligations and security retention.

To exercise your rights or ask a question, contact us at info@tugono.com.

16

Children

Tugono is not directed to children who cannot provide valid consent under applicable law. If we detect child data collected without authorization, we will take steps to delete it.

17

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect product changes, new countries, legal requirements or operational improvements. The current version will always be available on this page.
